In short: We do not sell your personal data, and Spam Blocker has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools. The app connects to our service so its features can work.
1. Who we are
Spam Blocker (“the app”, package com.shanks.callblocker) is an Android app published on Google Play by Crocapps (“we”, “us”) that helps you identify spammers and safeguards you against digital arrest scam calls by rejecting incoming calls from number prefixes that you choose. 2. Permissions
The app uses the Internet permission to connect to our service. It also offers an optional Call Log permission (READ_CALL_LOG) for spam detection: if you allow it, the app reads your call log (phone number, call type, time, duration and saved name) on your device to detect spam callers and suggest numbers to block. This data is processed only on your device; it is never uploaded, shared, sold or used for advertising. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android settings. The app does not request the Contacts, Phone State or Notification permissions.
3. Personal information
We do not save personally identifiable information (PII) about you, such as your name, email address or phone number.
4. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
5. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Security
Information sent to our service is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to it is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your phone with a screen lock.
7. This website
This website is static. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. To display its typeface it loads a font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch it. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles such requests. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app’s behaviour changes, for example if we start collecting new kinds of information, we will update this page and the effective date above before such a release, and describe the change here.
